Remembered the past....

Now I back in Labuan for my holiday. In fact I was already 4 days here. Well to tired to composed any post. Only today only I find there some time for me to compose something. even I don´t have anything to type. Well just type whatever it come out from my head....
Want to post some picture of the Labuan Island, which I took when I w still working with my old company in shipping and forwarding. I was in fact going to the vessel by speed boat. Just like go for search and rescue for some crew. hahaha. What a good experienced that time for me.

Nite at Beaufort, Sabah

I overnite at Beaufort. Stopover only coz I cannot make it to Menumbok ferry in time. Well Beaufort is just a small town, and it a by-pass to Kota Kinabalu. it just like Batu Niah, Sarawak. But the town is blend with old and new shophouse. Guest it look like before the WWW II. The shop house is looked very old, but still functioning, with shop shop operating. Maybe take over from grand father time to father then to son. Pity din,t take camera with me. But next time I take some photo.

Journey for Miri to Beaufort

What a tired day for me. I been driving since this morning t 9a.m. from Miri to Labuan. Unfortunately have to overnite at Beaufort. Cannot catch the 4.30p.m ferry. I arrive Beaufort about 4.00 p.m. and if I continue to drive to Menumbok, I be reaching there about 5.30p.m. And worst still I need to sleep inside my car. No inn there. Blame for the long queue at Kuala Lurah Immigration check point. What a long queue.

I start my journey at 9am from Miri. But today I use the different route to reach another end Brunei, using kampung way, guest it shorter compare to the highway route via Jerudong. I pump my petrol at Kuala Lurah brunei Shell. Unfortunately, for Malaysian to buy petrol in Brunei, it sell with more expensive price. Compare to last time. Guest Brunei is starting to follow Malaysia way now. Last time with just B$10.00, it almost fill more then half of ny tank. Nowm just 1 bar only. By the time I reach Kuala Lurah Immigration post (Brunei boarder), the queue was long. It took me more than 30 minute to stamp my passport. Luckly for for Malaysia passport, I no need to wait so long at Malaysia boarder. So by the time after I pass both Immigration, it almost 12pm. And I speed up to reach Limbang. I managed to reach Limbang about 12.45p.m. Take my lunch at Limbang. What a fast lunch. It took me 15 minute to finish. Need to rush to Menumbok ferry lor.

So my journey start from Limbang about 1.15p.m. and I drive to Lawas, pass thru Temborong (Brunei again) Stamp my passport 4 times. And finally reach Sedumin (Boarder between Sarawak and Sabah). So I drive as fast as I can and trying to reach Menumbok before 4.30p.m. But others car is driving fu*** slow. Want to overtake also difficute, coz the road is not stable, and like snake. It make me tension also to overtake. I managed to pass by Sipitang about 3.30p.m. I just pass Sipitang and straight to Beaufort. By the time I reach Beaufort about 4p.m. I make my decision to overnite at Beaufort. My journey will continue tomorrow morning abt 8.30.m., need to reach Menumbok for 10.30a.m ferry. It just another 61km from Beaufort.

Rumours Spark Panic

I just received a rumours about 3p.m. today that all the petrol kiosks in Miri, Bintulu, Labuan, KK, (almost effect whole Sarawak, Sabah, Labuan) will be on shut down for 3 days. We don´t know what the actual cost and who start the rumours. But the effect of the rumours is tremendously effect each one of us. Immediately after office hours, people queue up at all the petrol stations. It cause traffic jam to other road users. But there must be reason for it.

So what make this rumours to spread so fast. People is queue like mad. Like the world will be end. Or like the oil will run out of stock. Imagine 20 years to come, when the oil will start runing low, I guest the whole population will start buying petrol like wild. maybe riot will happen. or people start killing each other for petrol. We don know what will happen next.

Guest the government start rising the fuel is in wrong time, and surely not the correct way of increasing the petrol price so dramatically without considering the attitude of we Malaysian. But what happen to Petronas? it ?. So many reasons been given by them. and the reason keep changing. What are they try to tell us? What happen to all the profit they got? We all the profits Petronas earns, it can channel back the rakyat by reducing the price of the petrol. In fact the government not even to subzised the petrol. The money then can channel for other use.

Well, we just have to wait and see what happen next. The world crude oil will surely increase. Even after the emergency Oil meeting submit in Jeddah recently, the committee still find no resolve for the decrease of the crude oil per barrel, even the Arab country agreed to increase it production.

Guest we all need to bear the high price of the petrol nowaday. Now my petrol cost for me to journey from Bintulu to Labuan is cost about RM140!!!

Weekend

Today is just like any other Sunday. Well in fact it just another boring Sunday. In fact weekend. i find it most boring day today. Well now in Bintulu, and just don´t know where to hang out. Well luckily there some shopping center to visit to. But most of the time just spent about less then 1 1/2 hrs only. Just drop by at cd shop and try to look for any new dvd movie. Just can´t wait for my 2 weeks break off this coming Thursday. Be going back to Labuan to be reunion with my Yen Ling after away for two week.

After Shock of the Tsunami Ellection

After reading the news this few days, alot things happening in Malaysia, especially about our politic. What really gone wrong with our politic nowadays. After the Tsunami election, the coalition party get the slim margin 1st place in the parliment. Well the opposition get most of the seat this time. And even after the election finish, we still feel the after shock from the tsunami. Even after earth quake or tsunami, there still is after shock to follow. This after-shock of the political turmoil will continue until the next general election. But what ever the after-shock it going to be next, surely we as rakyat want the best from the government, no matter who will be the government, it better served the raykat. Not the government served its own MP.

What a Relieve!

This early June 2008, especially after long holiday for Sarawak & Sabah (Gawai & Kaamatan festival) our PM announce the very shocking news to all Malaysian, not only for those have cars, but also to all citizen of Malaysia, young or old, male of female, rich or poor, all race, etc - dramastic increase of fuel price, almost 40% increase. After hearing the shocking news on June 4, I rush to the nearest Shell to fill my car. That time I was in KK for my short holiday. By the time I reach the nearest Shell (just opposite my inn where I stay), ooooosh, the line start to get longer. And it make me que for almost 1 hrs. What the f******* high increase on the fuel and all the stuffs. Last time my car fuel tank about RM70. But now full tank about RM90!!!! Wish the car can fill by water.

As we all are aware of it, bila minyak naik, semua barang pun naik. Apa yang tak kena mengena dengan minyak pun naik. The next day, in the newspaper, people start to talk around especially kopitiam chat, abt gula pun naik, beras oso naik, teksi and express pun start naik, mee pun naik, (now aday go kopitiam order mee, even the price tak naik, tapi quantity buakan main kurang! baru 2-3 mulut saja, kosong dah pinggan. But those will get into difficuties is the rakyat, especially low income. If last time middle income group not that much effects, but now after the all the 'barang naik' I guest the middle income group will start join the low income group now. The the low income group will join the "papa karana" group.

I was bit relieves after my new company i just join last month, start to announce to provide every Malaysian employee with Cost Of Living Allowance (COLA). At least it can help to assits each of the staffs. I also happy. Macam naik gaji. Wish to say big thank you to my company.

Wisma Pelita Tunku, Miri Incident on June 17, 2008

Last Tuesday, June 17, 2008, I was shock to read the news about you guy who commit suicide at the Wisma Pelita Tuanku, one of the oldest and first high rise building in Miri. The was guy and from what I found out from the Miri Commuunity forum, it was a Chinese guy. The age is unknown at the time. But he working in one of the bank in Miri, and well do in family.

But the questions arise? Alot people though why this young guy want to commit suicide by very painful way, by jumping from the top floor? surely all his brain got jumps out from his head. There may be several reasons behind. Maybe because of her love life? or maybe because of stress in work and life? or maybe because of financial? What ever the reason surely there a way to solve it by better way. That why, our love one, like wife, husband, girlfriend/boyfriend, play an important role in our life especially to helps each others and to give support. In this world we live, we cannot survive by alone. This incident can happen to anyone.

May His Soul Rest In Peace.

Journey to KK for Sabah Charity Cultural Show 2008

This my first time, I travel to Kota Kinabalu (KK) early this month, June 08, while I having my off period from work. As I off every 2 weeks from my duties. So I take this opportunities to travel to KK with my girlfriend - Yen Ling, her mum (future mother-in-law). Since they was involved in SGM program for this year Sabah Charity Cultural Show 08, which was organized by SGM Sabah ( www.sgm.org.my ). So my Yen Ling is one of the leader for the youth and as a faithful boyfriend, I need to give her support during her duties in Charity Cultural Show, like give her morale support, and be her driver. So the journey start on the June 3, 08 early morning, abt 7.30am by RoRo ferry from Labuan town to Menumbok, abt 2 hrs in ferry. Only after that you can reach Menumbok, and then journey for another 2-3 hrs to reach KK city. Something happen immediately i reach Menumbok, which I got into wrong junction and goes straight to Menumbok town. hahaha...

At KK city I stay at cheap Inn near the city area, near Bandaran area. Cheap traveller like me can spent RM50 per nite for a room. But not bad at all. At least got hot shower, TV and air-con. Well, moset of my day, spend on window shopping, go sight seeing like Penampang and Bundusan area. By Yen Ling stay at USM hostel. She have to check-in there as one of the requirement by their SGM group. I also worry about her staying there. (I will blog other times why I worry about Yen Ling) But managed to visit her every day at USM.

I was staying in KK for about 5 days i.e. June 3 - 8. But the Sabah Cultural Charity Show is on 6 & 7 June 08. So it took me time to go to KK City and visit around the city. It was my first time travel to the city by own car - blue proton iswara - hahaha. Well visit some of the shopping complexes like Merderka Plaza, Karamunsing Plaza, Sabah Muzium, Central Point, City Mall, and the lastest is 1Borneo, the biggest shopping complex in Sabah. But the way, once reach KK, received a bad news, mostly will effected everyone, increase of petrol for 40%! So, on the June 4, evening I go straight to the nearest Shell to fill my petrol.

It was June 6, Sabah Charity Cultural Show 2008, morning when to USM to bring Yen Ling & her friend to USM Chancellor Hall for preparation. Since it was going to be an opening night, so need to prepared early. But afternoon I when to see movie at 1Borneo, the first day and openning of the GSC cinema. Well the place was big and can accommodate about 1000 plus people. I watch the Kung Fu panda alone. But I still prefer to watch with Yen Ling. at least I can hold her hand. That evening, I went to the Sabah Charity Cultral Show at USM. The show was great and I guest all the performers and those involved must be credited for all the effort done on that nite. Tumb up for them. But pity my Yen Ling during the show. Look at her so tired that night. But that nite she was so beautiful, with her make-up and hair style done to her. Pity din take picture of her that nite. But she was busy with her duties. I guest the next time she will look very pretty with her make-up is on our wedding day. This time must take photo one.

But on the following day, lucky Yen Ling din´t participate for the cultural show, coz she was not feeling well that day. Lucky she din´t sleep at the hostel, otherwise I will be worry about her. So managed to get her sleep in the hotel for the nite. Cos the next morning, need to travel early to Menumbok to reach the ferry before 10.30am.

I plan for the next trip to KK again with My Yen Ling. But have to wait until she pass her driving license this month. So at least 2 drivers is better.
