Bus + Lorry + Car = Accident

On my way to town for lunch about 1230 p.m., saw an accident. It happen at the junction. The traffic light junction to hospital. Not surprise.Why? Because that area are prone to accident. Just last month, a oil palm tanker tit from behind and cause all the palm oil to split onto the road and cause more that 4 accidents.

This time it involve 1 bus with almost full of passenger, and lorry belong to a local transport company i.e. Harbour Services - loaded with plywood and a small kancil which is badly hit from behind. It seem that the bus was on the way to town. And the lorry to port, and kancil maybe to kidurong or Sg. Plan. Who is wrong? Don't know. But normally the lorry driver. Why I said lorry driver is because the driver will speed up if the traffic light start to turn yellow or red. Even red, the driver will keep speeding up. Just like see a ghost. They just cannot wait for the next turn. Accident involve lorry or trailer always happen in Bintulu especially Kidurong road. It seem that the driver do not care for other car especially smaller car. What a pity...

My Engagement

Finally, I proposed to my girlfriend that I want to marry her. And on 29 May 2009 or 29.05.09, I officially engaged to my long and only girlfriend in Labuan. The engagement was simple. I proposed to her with a beautiful gold ring. I inserted the ring into her finger, and she inserted into my finger. Both of us inserted our engagement ring after she finish working and on our way home, inside the car. In the evening, we and her parent when out for dinner.Now is the time to plan for my wedding. Need to chose for the suitable date for our wedding.

Sleep inside the Car

International Airport Terminal 1to sleep inside the car. But after 1 hour cannot sleep because of the Arrived KK evening with my fiancee. This is my 2nd trip to KK in less than 1months. But didn't booked any hotel coz I didn't think that all hotel in KK will be fully book. Yes. All the hotel is fully booked or full house. It Keamatan at Sabah. That what make all the hotel, motel even inn is full. So sleep where. At first drive my car to KKmosquito biting us in the car. So at 3 a.m. in the morning, drive to McDonald Dive In, part my car next to it, have a cup of coffee and online. My fiancee try to get some sleep while I blogging to keep me busy and awake. Hope that tomorrow can find a place to stay.

Accident Again....this time 2 at same time

On my way to my office from town, not far from Nyabau traffic light, after the SM Teknik school, saw 2 accidents happen on the same road. not far from each other. About 10 meters. The first accident I saw was a Viva or Kancil over turn and landed in the middle drain. Even the drain is not made from concrete, but the roof of the car is badly damaged. Guest the driver or passenger must be in serious pain. And not far from the 1st accident, saw another accident. A Myvi hit the middle of the road. Must be hit the tree. But the driver is lucky as his car just damage from the front part only.

Why there accident of the same road? Because of the slippery road cause by the oil palm tanker yesterday about 5 p.m. Yesterday late afternoon, the spot at the traffic light, an oil palm tanker hit another oil palm tanker from behind. So the impact cause the oil palm split out from the tanker. And worst still that the tanker is full and on the way to oil palm refinery. Because of it, the streach of road from the traffic light until the junction to Daiken(if drive up to LNG), and from traffic light until the junction to Kidorung Telekom (if drive down to town) is slippery. And worst still, there not even a sigh board that show slippery road and to remind others driver about the danger of the road. Just be careful when drive the Kidurong Road.

Journey to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah - 1st Day

This is my journey to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, with my girlfriend and her parent. And it was also my first time to drive to KK with my new Suzuki LD255. Want to test the new car. It my proud car. bigger than Vios. and stable for long distance. The reason I drive to KK is not because want to test my new car, but to bring my girlfriend dad for further treatment at Damai Medical Centre. Her dad had a diabetes and effected his left foot.

I start wake-up about 5 a.m. and by 6.30 a.m. already at Labuan Ferry. The schedule for the departure suppose at 7.30 a.m. but only about 8.30 a.m. it start the journey. malaysia time la... Reach Menumbok about 10.00 a.m. and drive straight to KK. Reach KK about 1 p.m. By the time reach KK, everyone was hungry and go for lunch. Lunch at Penampang. After lunch, go looked for Damai Medical Centre and hotel to stay.

At the evening, we have dinner at Home Restaurant at 1Borneo. Kind of expensive but the dish is alot. Don't know worth with value of money or not. After the dinner, go lepak around 1Borneo. But the time ws too short as we arrived 1Borneo almost 8.30p.m. and by the time first dinner is about 9.00p.m. Most of the shop close at 10 p.m. So by 10.00 p.m. need to go back to hotel to take some rest as tomorrow will be another tiring day again. P.S. I forgot to mention that the parking at 1Borneo cost me RM5. And because I just part for 1 1/2 hours, it the most expensive parking I ever park. But worth because it just near the entrance. But I should parking for the whole day and night. Then it will be really worth.

As the time now is 12.19 a.m. and better get some sleep. Continue to blog tonight again for 2nd day.

Road Elephant Fall Into Drain

On my way to town from my office, I saw the so-call elephant at road fall into the drain. It was the prime mover belong to Harbour Services Sdn Bhd was stuck into the drain at Jln Kidurong about noon time. The driver was lost control and end up accident. Most of the big car like this drive like crazy.

Valentine Day 2009

This year Valentine day, me and my gf went to some place different. We having our candle light dinner at the Labuan Golf Club. It's kind of open air and next to the golf course. But not that satisfy my taste. But it was enjoyable. I have Lamb Chop while my gf having Grill Fish. Taste ok la. Lupa take photo of the food.

Next year should try any other good and real romantic dinner place for our Valentine day.

Incident Happen at Btu Anchorage Area

This morning about 7.30 a.m. while I was attending the crew boat, the master told me that there is 1 of our oil company hired boat is on fire. The engine room on fire. The boat (Sea Searcher) was caring about 40 passengers to oil platform early morning and about 30 minutes later while on the way the thick smoke coming out from engine room. Upon knowing that the boat was on fire, immediately all the passenger abandon the ship to the next ship that was also hired by the oil company to the same location.

Until noon time, Bintulu Port fire department still try to stop the fire from spreading to the oil tank

compartment. And the dangerous is that the boat on fire near the LPG anchorage area which is bit dangerous. And from picture below, the LPG ship is passing behind the Sea Searcher. 

Finally the fire was put down about 3.00 p.m. and the boat tow to the port. 

It really a hectic day. At last it feel the relieve after the fire was put down. 

Day In Sibu - Part 2

2nd February 2009

Where should I start..... Ok, early morning, the weather was good and sunshine in Sibu town. The so called adventurous tire puncit last night on the way to Sibu, at the middle of the road and with no torchlight and just used hand phone light to see the hole of the tire and to fix my puncit car, we managed drive safety to the Land of Swan. And the first thing early morning, I goes and repair the car tyre and the rim as well. So that I can drive back to Miri with spare tire. So when to the first tire shop in Sibu, and the workshop told me that the rim cannot be knock it back to the round shape anymore, and the tire need to be replace with the new type. I was thinking that to replace the rim and the tire it will cost me about RM500 plus. So I try to get 2nd opinion. Went to the next tire shop and, the workshop told me, the car rim still can be knock and after see the tyre, it still good and need not to replace with new tire. So it just cost me RM5 for labour charge. Luckily I get the 2nd opinion. Otherwise I will kena makan by the stupid workshop. 

After repair we when for breakfast and sight seeing around Sibu Town. After long time didn't visit Sibu, Sibu town surely change alot. From my old college, it move to the new location and better type of campus. Not like last time, when I first study, it was having class in the shoplot. But it also better, coz everything to get there such like eating outlet, bank, shop, and easy to town by bus. Even now more and more shopping complex being built. Not like last time no place to lepak at shopping complete. If want to lepak, kena ikut orang tua lepak at kopi tian drink kopi. During my time between 1998 - 2000, the only place to lepak is Sing Kwang. Then the end of 2000, Wisma Sanyan juz completed. It with suddenly all the Sibu people flocked to the new wisma and student start to lepak there and enjoy the air con. It the first Parkson in town. 

The whole day, we when around the town of Sibu. From Sg. Merah and to town of Sibu and walking along the old shop. The landscape of the town maybe change. But the atmosphere of the old town is still there. From end of the town we walk till the famous pagoda at the another end of town. Well, It the first time my gf been in Sibu, of course have to bring her walking around the town. One time that may not change i.e. flood. Almost every year, there surely will be flood in the town area especially the riverbank area. This year must be worst year. As almost section in Sibu is flooding. 

Day fly very fast. Even whole day of going around Sibu, but it still not covered every part of Sibu. Maybe if another day in Sibu, should be good enough if want to visit every cover of Sibu. In evening, we check-in another hotel near to Terminal bus. name of the hotel is Medan Hotel. It was quite new new with almost everything looking new. The good thing is Flat TV in the room and with wifi. And it cheaper compare with other hotel around the town. So after the diner when back to the hotel and once again I hug yen ling like baby sleeping. Maybe was tired and the next day need to travel back to Miri. This time after the bad adventurous journey to Sibu, plan to drive back in the morning. .... To be continue part 3

Visit of My Yen Ling and Her Parent to Miri - Part 1

Back to work again yesterday after more than 2 weeks off from my duties.

31st January 2009

End of last month, January 09, I took my off early 4 days ahead of my usual sign off day. Why? because my girlfriend and her parent was in Miri. Since 1st Feb is public holiday in Labuan. Immediately I sign off from my duties on the 31st January, I rush to Miri by bus. I arrived Miri about 4.00 p.m. My gf was already arrive Miri at noon time because she took the 1200 flight from Labuan. So she when to shopping first at Boulevard. Upon reaching Miri, I rush back to take my car so that I can meet with my gf and her parent. The first day of they visit to Miri, I brought them to my house to meet my parent. It like in the movie - Meet the Parent or Meet the Focker movie. It was the first time my gf and my mum see each other since the first time she when to my house was 3 years back. And also for my gf parent which is their first time to meet with my parent. It was kind of introduction and also the next step for me to declared of my intention to take my beautiful Yen Ling as my wife. After the 'Meet the parent' session finish, I took my gf and her parent to dinner. 

So I start to think where is the better place to have dinner. And actually I plan for open air style since it was raining, then I have to think of other place. So it end up at one of the restaurant in Miri located at Tg Lubang, near to the giant seahorse at Marina Bay. It look luxury type of restaurant with all kind of fresh sea food where you can just scoop out from the aquarium of pool. Upon arriving at the restaurant, the waitress show us where do we want to seat. So I pick near  the window. But it was dark and no lamp post, so it kind of see noting at the sea. Even to take photo also dark. Then came the menu. The look of the menu is not that interesting compared to the restaurant like Grand Dorsset Labuan, so maybe the price is bit cheaper. At it show us the Chinese New Year menu. (it still in Chinese New Year period) So the choice is not as much as it can be. To my very shocking is the price of each dish. So I ordered 4 dishes. 1 vegetable. 1 tauhu with meat, 1 steam fish, and 1 fried tanhoon. The fish is freshly scoop from the pool where I choose from. After makan, and ask for the bill. it cost RM140 plus. And it just only 4 dishes only. And the fish is almost RM100 just less then 500 g. Maybe just 400 g only. But what to do. Already eat and enter into our belly. It was one of the expensive meal and restaurant I ever go to. Even the restaurant was not that pack with customer.

1st February 2009

The next day, Sunday, 1st Feb 09, I drive my gf to Sibu, my birthplace and hometown. Since my gf never goes to Sibu and really wanted to see Sibu, so I bring her and her parent to Sibu. Our journey to Sibu started at 12.30 pm after breakfast. I was driving my blue Proton Iswara. I drive to Bintulu using the costal highway, which is faster and cut short the journey by 1 hr compared using the old road. As I was driving alone the way, I was vesy courious to see most of the car front plate number was missing. As I reach Bt. Niah bridge, I saw alot of car at the bridge, and I was thinking what happen. It was flooding at the end of the bridge. It was about 2 or 3 feets high. But I was not dare to drive across. So decided to turn back to Bekenu and by-pass Bekenu to used the old road. It wasted me about 1 hour. By the time we reach Bintulu-Sibu junction it already 5p.m. Just have the quick coffee to refresh myself before continue the journey to Sibu. I prefer to drive during the daylight since the road is not that good and alot pothole need to avoide. 

Alone the journey to Sibu, we pass 3 or 4 landslide. And 1 part near Tatau town was very bad. And all the river we pass by is all flooded with high level of water. But after pass Selangau town, bad luck happen to my car. And it was dark about 7.30 p.m. and I cannot see clearly on the road, My car tyre hit the pot hole. Maybe it was about 10 inches deep. And my front tyre was dented and flat my tyre. But I was pray that my back tyre will not happen anything since I only have 1 spare tyre. And I take a look and only the front tyre was badly dented. And during the incident, another car - Proton Saga new model also run over the pothole and got his front tyre flat also. But the tyre was torn, as for my tire was still ok. So after the tyre change, both of us convoy to Sibu together. In case anything happen again. So we reach Sibu almost 9p.m. which I was hungry and tired after the bad incident. Thank God that Yen Ling was with me. I search for hotel in Sibu area and I don't want to stay near the river bank of Rejang River because it was high tide and flooding. So I decided to search near the not that bad effected area. And found out Hotel Bahgia. Next to Hotel Bahagia also there another hotel. But don't want to stay coz the receptionist is a 'lady'. Once when he/she speak to me, that all my bulu even until my private part hair also naik. So after the check in at Hotel Bahagia (English is Happy Hotel, if you stay you will be happy and laughing like Joker, hahaha) we when for dinner. I took my gf to my old college for dinner, and to my surprise it change. During the dinner, I happen to meet with my old long lost college friends. Since all this years I been try to locate them, and during that night, we meet up again and we exchange contact number. Maybe my luck turn from bad to good luck. After the dinner, we when back to hotel and sleep. Well, at night me and my Yen Ling sleep together and hugging each other like husband and wife.

The End of 2008, The begin of 2009

Today is Wednesday. Today is the last day in year 2008. As tomorrow will be start the new year 2009. What will happen in 2009, nobody will know. No one can actually 100% predict what will going to happen in 2009. Not even the horoscope or feng shui can 100% correct. But it maybe 50% accurate. Or it maybe turn into the guidance to the one future, but the future is always in our own hand to decide. Each individual is responsible for what will happen in the future. Let us hope that the year 2009 will be a good year for everyone. 

As for me, I will getting older and maybe wiser and stupid. But surely my hair turn gray more. Maybe because think to much and worry to much. Year 2009, will be the year I want to start with my new life. A family life. A life start with marriage, then plan to have my own kid, and the grow old. hahaha. still long way to grow old la me.  My New Year resolution this year will be category into few;

1. marriage

I want to get marry fast lioa. cannot wait to long. This is the 1st priority I want to get marriage.  

2. business

Plan to start my own coffee bar business in Labuan. But hope it will be successfully  this year. 

3. Strike lottery ticket

Last year was the bad year la. Strike lottery also a bit only. Hope year 2009 I can strike 6D. Not need to strike jackpot 1st la. Let daydream again about strike lottery.

4. Golf

Wish someone can give me a golf set for my new year gift. Or wait I kena lottery ticket just buy golf set. Mimpi la I ini...

5. Hope everything will go well this year.
